Hot on the heals of Amazon releasing Mac and Windows desktop applications for its Cloud Drive, Microsoft have an updated iOS App for its Sky Drive service. We'll put it through its paces, here at The MacDoctor, and see if Dropbox have anything to worry about. It's good to see cloud storage becoming a real battleground and we can only hope Apple gets back in the game soon.
iCloud's file handling is limited and for many unusable. Our ultimate wish would be for Apple to forego building their own service but rather provide support for all the main players - Dropbox, Cloud Drive and Sky Drive - at an OS and iOS level. It's Apple OS and devices we love. We don't need them to get bogged down running cloud storage but rather concentrate on what they do best.
